The NFL Draft is right around the corner with the first round starting in just one short week! I always enjoy doing a first round Mock Draft every year just to see how my predictions stack up with the "experts". There is a good mix of hot takes and chalk picks from consensus mocks around the industry, check it out and see what you think!

NFL 2025 Round 1 Mock Draft
NFL 2025 Round 1 Mock Draft

  1. Titans - Cam Ward (QB)

Books have him at -20000 to go #1 overall, the Titans refuse to run it back with Levis.Ā

  1. Browns - Travis Hunter (WR/CB)

Generational prospect that has the ability to be a team's best WR or CB.

  1. Giants - Abdul Carter (Edge)

Blue chip prospect at a premium position, prioritize best player available over forcing a pick at QB.

  1. Patriots - Will Campbell (OT)

Protect Drake Maye at all costs, widely regarded as the best tackle in the class.

  1. Jaguars - Mason Graham (DT)

New HC Liam Coen said they will prioritize building the trenches, no better place to start than adding Graham to the mix on the D-line.Ā

  1. Raiders - Ashton Jeanty (RB)

With the additions of Geno Smith and Pete Caroll, the Raiders are in win-now mode. Jeanty will be the engine of the offense.

  1. Jets - Kelvin Banks Jr (OT)

Stud offensive tackle prospect to put on the opposite side of the line from Fashanu.

  1. Panthers - Jalon Walker (Edge)

They need help everywhere on the defensive side of the ball, has the versatility to play edge or outside LB.Ā

  1. Saints - Jaxson Dart (QB)

With the recent news of Derek Carr’s injury concerns, the Saints look to find the next franchise QB. Many are mocking Sanders to this spot but I have a feeling they prefer Dart…

  1. Bears - Mike Green (Edge)

2nd best pure edge rusher in the class, stick him on the opposite end of the line from Sweat and get after the QB.

  1. 49ers - Armand Membou (OT)

Time for the 49ers to reinvest back into the O-line, after all Trent Williams won’t play forever.Ā

  1. Cowboys - Tetairoa McMillan (WR)

Desperately need a new weapon on offense to free up Ceedee Lamb.Ā

  1. Dolphins - Josh Simmons OT

Reinforce a struggling o-line unit with a first round tackle after the news of Terron Armstead retiring.

  1. Colts - Tyler Warren (TE)

Have had a revolving door of tight ends forever, Warren could be their new Dallas Clark.

  1. Falcons - James Pearce Jr (Edge)

He has a good burst off the snap and ability to bend around the corner. There is no bigger need on the Falcons roster than pass rusher.Ā

  1. Cardinals - Jahdae Barron (DB)

A versatile DB that can play nickel or safety. Would be a great chess piece for Jonathan Gannon to pair with Budda Baker in the back end.

  1. Bengals - Mykel Williams (Edge)

The Bengals have poured the majority of their cap into keeping their offensive core together. As the Hendrickson situation remains uncertain, they need to secure an edge rusher on a cheap rookie deal.

  1. Seahawks - Tyler Booker (IOL)

Shore up the interior of the offensive line to protect Darnold (They don’t want him seeing ghosts)...

  1. Buccaneers - Jihaad Campbell (LB)Ā

Best LB in the class by far. Pair him with Lavonte David so he can learn the tricks of the trade from a Buccaneers legend.Ā

  1. Broncos - Omarion Hampton (RB)

Sean Payton loves a good workhorse RB and that’s exactly what Hampton will be.

  1. Steelers - Shedeur Sanders (QB)

No player has generated more buzz in this draft cycle than Sanders. I think he falls further than consensus and the Steelers scoop the ā€œvalueā€. After all, nobody knows what Mr. Ayahuasca will do…

  1. Chargers - Emeka Egbuka (WR)

Need another weapon and consistent WR to pair with Ladd. Harbaugh is familiar with him from his days playing in the BIG10, and he knows how great of a run blocker he is.

  1. Packers - Will Johnson (CB)

Feels like the Jaire Alexander era is over in Green Bay. Johnson was widely regarded as a top 5 pick before an injury riddled season.Ā

  1. Vikings - Malaki Starks (S)

Best pure safety in the class. However, keep an eye out for the vikings to trade down and acquire more picks.

  1. Texans - Grey Zabel (IOL)

Protect C.J. Stroud at all costs. The O-line was a disaster last year and they urgently need replacements.Ā

  1. Rams - Colston Loveland (TE)

A versatile weapon for Sean Mcvay to play alongside Puka and Davante Adams.Ā

  1. Ravens - Walter Nolen (DT)

Always a good idea to add interior D-line depth. Ravens take the BPA approach as most draft boards have Nolen going higher.

  1. Lions - Shemar Stewart (Edge)

Huge need for a pass rusher to help take pressure off Hutchinson, who’s returning from his serious injury.

  1. Commanders - Matthew Golden (WR)

Good idea to add a speedy WR with Terry and Deebo on expiring contracts.

  1. Bills - Nick Emmanwori (S)

Classic strong safety that will fit well in Mcdermott’s defensive scheme.Ā

  1. Chiefs - Josh Conerly Jr (OT)

This pick is self explanatory if you watched what the Eagles did to them in the Super Bowl.

  2. Eagles - Derrick Harmon (DT)

Howie Roseman will always build the trenches first. Excellent DT prospect to add to their absurd depth.Ā
